Jesus still says, “GO”

World Mission Sunday February 10, 2019

Greetings the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Lord Jesus Christ commissioned his disciples to go and proclaim the gospel. This was His commission then and it is still His commission to us noEastSeal.orangew! People in our communities, nation and world are all in desperate need of knowing the love of God and the forgiveness of their sins. Alongside this commission, our mission includes serving those in need and protecting every human life (born and unborn).

God has given us the wonderful responsibility to be salt to the earth and light to the world.Christians are those who can impact their communities and the world more than anyone else because we have been entrusted with the message of Jesus Christ, crucified, risen and coming again.

This year’s mission conference and synod ‘Together in the Harvest’ (May 16-18) will help to equip us in this mission to the world. I hope to see many of you there.

On this Sunday, when we consider our mission to the world, let us rededicate ourselves to the mission to which we have all been called and make known the good news of Jesus through word and deed. And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. Luke 10:2

Jesus still says, ‘go’.
