“A voice was heard in Ramah,

Friday December 28, 2018 is The Feast of The Holy Innocents when the Church recalls the courage the Holy Family who escaped Bethlehem for Egypt as Herod gave the decree to massacre the Holy Innocents who are considered by some to be the first Christian martyrs.

Many Christians today are still fleeing their homes and churches. Hundreds of thousands of displaced Christians across numerous countries are without adequate food or proper shelter. In Nigeria just under 2 million people are internally displaced as a result of religious violence.

Please pray for these our suffering brothers and sisters who are enduring so many modern day atrocities as a result of their faith in Jesus Christ.  The Apostle Paul writes, “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.”  Galatians chapter 6

On this day of memorial, let us pause and reflect that every human life, including  the  lives of unborn children, are uniquely important and precious to God and loved by Him.  I commend to you the ministry of Anglicans for Life, a Christ-centered ministry that upholds Biblical principles concerning the sacredness of human life.

Lord willing, Brenda and I will participating in the National March for Life and the events connected to the Anglican Summit 2019 in Virginia.

Almighty God, our Father, you who have given us life and intended us to have it forever, grant us your blessings. Enlighten our minds to an awareness and to a renewed conviction that all human life is sacred because it is created in your image and likeness.  Help us to teach by word and the example of our lives that human life is precious because it is the gift of God whose love is infinite.  In Jesus name we pray.  Amen
